UEFA’s #EqualGame campaign at 11th Conference

EFDN is looking forward to welcoming Peter Klomp, Head of Corporate Communications at the UEFA, at the 11th EFDN Conference. Mr Klomp’s presentation will centre on the #EqualGame campaign and thus UEFA’s promotion of diversity, inclusion and accessibility.

Peter Klomp has been active in sports sponsorship for many years. He joined UEFA as Head of Corporate Communications in 2016 and is responsible for all of UEFA’s corporate messaging across analogue, digital and social channels, including internal and external communications, CSR campaigning and reputation management. Peter is the lead for the conception and implementation of the multiple award-winning #EqualGame campaign to increase diversity, inclusion and accessibility in European football.

#EqualGame: Celebrating diversity and inclusion in European Football

#EqualGame was launched at the beginning of the 2017/2018 season. The campaign seeks to demonstrate and champion the incredible and often inspiring diversity of football in Europe, and stars of the game from grassroots right up to the elite level are giving crucial support.

The #EqualGame campaign brings a fresh new dimension to UEFA’s promotion of diversity, inclusion and accessibility. It amplifies a clear and uplifting message about the benefits that football brings to the community; shows how the game will be enriched by greater diversity; and explains the European football family’s role to make the sport open and accessible to all.

#EqualGame is about people and their football stories. It gives football lovers across Europe the opportunity to express just what the game means to them.

#EqualGame shows the good in football, the positive energy that the sport generates, how it can reconcile, create friendships, and give meaning and purpose to people’s lives.
