SAP CONFIRMED AS SPEAKER AT THE 10TH EFDN CONFERENCE

EFDN is happy to announce that Mrs Gabriele Hartmann, head of SAP SE’s CSR for Middle and Eastern Europe, confirmed to speak at the upcoming EFDN Conference. 

SAP SE is the world’s largest business software company which is headquartered in Germany and it is the first business representative to join EFDN Conference. SAP gives their users the ability to access live data in order to predict customers trends. The organization is very innovative and it strives to make the world a better place by implementing different CSR programs.

SAP SE AND ITS IMPACT ON SOCIETY

IES-58 (Large)t is estimated that by 2020 economies will suffer from shortage of skilled workforce (around 40,000,000 high-skilled workers) in the area of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. SAP aims to make the world run better and improve lives of people who live in communities in need by implementing CSR programmes. Their CSR programmes are focused on equiping the world’s young population (12-24 years) with the necessary tools to tackle today’s problems of the society. SAP SE realised that football has the immense power to impact the youth and senior society in a positive way. SAP recognised the opportunity to get youngsters excited and engaged about technology and IT. The insight and potential of the younger generation can change the world using the power of football and the help of technology and SAP SE is looking forward to expand their CSR activities in this field.

THE GUEST SPEAKER MRS. GABRIELE HARTMANN

Gabi Hartmann is the head of the CSR activities of SAP SE for MEE. She studied Political Science, Theology and German and has a Masters Degree in Political Science from the Heidelberg University. After working for several years as a PR-Consultant for different non-profit organisations, she joined SAP in 2002. Going through different roles in the Global Communications she managed to greatly improve the internal CSR network and external non-profit partnerships in EMEA and MEE markets. Mrs Hartmann recognised the power of football as a tool for social development thus she started collaborating Badische Fussballverband, aiming to create simple tech solutions together with the young footballers for the clubs they are playing.

Gabi Hartmann developed the concept on a global and local level with the cooperation of streetfootballworld (NGO) and Cityzens Giving (Manchester City). Moreover she managed to create Science learning materials introducing football as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) subject in the classrooms. Gabi Hartmann and SPA SE desire to increase the impact of the CSR activities linked to football. Her presentation at the 10th EFDN Conference will give an answer to the questions such as why SAP, Football and CSR are a perfect match for a better society, what do they plan for their future CSR activities.
