Aisha Al-Said Albella, Head of Partnerships, Innovation and Knowledge at Barça Foundation presents on Sport for Development and the SDGs at the 13th EFDN Conference in Barcelona in November.

Sport for Development and the SDGs – a tool to contribute to the Sustainable Agenda

The Barça Foundation is the entity through which FC Barcelona conveys its corporate social responsibility. The Foundation is committed with the SDGs as the main framework of their core activities. The Foundation’s Strategic Plan, programmes, partnerships and campaigns are aligned with the SDGs, specially the 4th (Quality Education), the 5th (Gender Equality), the 10th (Reduced Inequalities) and the 17th (Partnerships for the Goals). In particular, the Foundation’s specific framework of action is Sport for Development. All work revolves around the idea of Sport as a tool to prevent violence, improve social inclusion of vulnerable groups and improve the access to education. At the 13th EFDN Conference, Aisha will discuss how football, and sport in general, contributes to achieving the SDGs and creating a more peaceful, sustainable future for all.

Aisha Al-Said Albella – Barça Foundation

Aisha Al-Said Albella is the Head of Partnerships, Innovation and Knowledge at Barça Foundation. She has worked as a project manager for several NGO`s and businesses, such as the International Cooperation and Ibero-America (COIBA), the Program of Governance of the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID) in Mexico; Responsible for CSR in the Deputy General Direction in SODERCAN. She has led as General Director of the Cantabria Coopera Foundation and has worked as an evaluation specialist in the Division of Evaluation at the MAEC. Aisha holds a degree in Political Science and Administration and a Master’s Degree in International Decentralized Cooperation from the University of the Basque Country, a Master’s Degree in Program Evaluation and Public Policy from the Complutense University of Madrid, and an MBA by the University of Cantabria.
