KNVB presents CSR strategy at the 10th EFDN Conference

Michael van der Star & Marc Nipius, from the CSR department of the KNVB (Dutch FA), will be at the 10th EFDN Conference to present their international and domestic CSR strategy.

In their presentation ‘Social impact at home and abroad’, Michael & Marc will focus on:

  • How to develop a domestic and international CSR strategy at a football association
  • Which business models does the KNVB use to secure the future of the CSR department
  • Good practises of domestic and international CSR programmes

The Royal Dutch Football Association – KNVB – is unique in their CSR strategy. The KNVB want to have social impact in the Netherlands but also in the world.  Which strategy do they use at their domestic CSR department and their international CSR department?  Together with (commercial) partners, the KNVB have developed many programmes.  In their presentation, Michael and Marc will explain their strategy and give the best practises of programs with the most social impact. Michael will tell some more about the WorldCoaches programme and Marc is going to explain some more about the Green Club initiative.

Michael is responsible for the international CSR department of the KNVB. His main programme is WorldCoaches. Every young footballer deserves a coach … a WorldCoach. Since 1997 the KNVB has trained football coaches in developing countries across the world. WorldCoaches are educated so that they can transfer their knowledge on football and social issues to future WorldCoaches in their area.

Marc Nipius

Marc is responsible for the domestic CSR department of the KNVB. He developed a new strategy with stakeholders like the government, commercial partners and the members of the grassroots clubs. Health, inclusion and environment are the main topics and within that topics there are a lot of programmes.
