Matt Mead hosts workshop on STEM Education
Matt Mead is Sphero’s Sports Partnerships Manager and joined Sphero in early 2020 after 14 years working in professional football and social impact. He now leads an exciting new venture, Sphero Sports, which is a bespoke program built to inspire and educate sports foundations, community organizations and students via sport and STEAM via hands-on, meaningful learning experiences. EFDN and Sphero are partnering on the EFDN STEM Football & Education programme.
Sphero makes undeniably cool, programmable robots and STEAM-based educational tools that transform the way kids learn, create, and invent through coding, science, music, and the arts. The Sphero ecosystem of tools and content gives kids, teachers, and parents of all learning and coding abilities a blank canvas to solve challenges at home, in school, and beyond.
Kids don’t just want to code, they want to use their imagination to create epic experiences. Sphero goes #BeyondCode and inspires kids to learn, build, create, and turn their imagination into a reality. Most importantly, Sphero makes it fun.
The skills students unlock through coding prepare them to thrive, no matter what subject or career they pursue. Sphero tools help bring math, science, music, and art lessons off the pages of a textbook and into real-world applications.
Sphero Sports is built for Sports Foundations, Schools & CSR Driven Organisations to teach STEM education. Our Sphero Sports coding bundle is an all-in-one solution and the perfect way to get students excited about STEM learning, robotics and coding through a sport they already know and love, as well as providing Sports Foundations and educators with the perfect start in teaching STEM Education.
Sphero wants to support EFDN members as they start to take their first steps into STEM education and empower the foundations to offer engaging, meaningful, hands on learning experiences that encourage active learning and teach the critical STEM skills needed for the modern day world and technology economy.
