Eliminating racism, discrimination and intolerance in and through football has become a major priority in recent years in professional football.

The role football can play in preventing racism

The panel discussion on “Tackling Racism in Football” aims to stimulate an informative discussion between various organisations within the world of professional football, who will contribute their respective views about the role football can play in preventing racism. The panel discussion will be joined by FIFA, Fare Network, FIFPro and Paul Elliot who will discuss how activities can be undertaken to empower and build capacity of marginalised and discriminated-against groups.

As stakeholders in the world of football, these individuals will provide valuable perspectives on such a relevant and pressing issue. Furthermore, the panel provides an opportunity and platform for the discussion of ideas and practices that challenge exclusion at all levels of the game.
