Richard McBrearty (Football Memories Scotland) will present in Breda
Project Director from Football Memories Scotland, Richard McBrearty, will be presenting about the programme 10 years on, at the 14th EFDN #Morethanfootball Conference in Breda.
Richard has been employed by the Scottish Football Museum for the past 21 years, holding the post of Curator since 2004. Also, he has been involved with the Football Memories programme since its inception in 2009 and for the past two years has held the post of Project Director. Key aspects of this post include developing new reminiscence resources to sustain the programme, liaising with stakeholders and partners at local, regional and national level, strategic planning and developing reminiscence training programmes.
10 years on from the launch of the original pilot project, Football Memories Scotland today supports 230 reminiscence groups across Scotland. Richard will touch upon the journey of the last 10 years, highlighting some of the highs and lows. And how they are looking ahead towards Football Memories Scotland’s future plans; ahead of their new role as a UEFA EURO 2020 legacy partner to exciting new partnerships in Scotland and internationally. The presentation will also focus on the reminiscence resources created over the past few years, including the Football Memories European Legends activity pack.
