The main themes of his presentation will be: Increasing physical activity and tackling obesity with fans and local residents; creating communities with people from different social backgrounds; and fundraising sports event by using the power of the football club.

The popular “Start to Run” project has been running at the club since 2010, having already trained more than a thousand fans and local residents throughout the years. With the support and motivation of the running coaches of Club Brugge Foundation anyone can easily run 5, 10 of 15 km after a mere 10 weeks training. In the area of the football stadium, a running course has been implemented around the training ground pitches and buildings . Arising out of the success of the “Start to Run” project, the Club Brugge Foundation have organized a successful fundraising event: the “Club Brugge Foundation Stadium Run”, with a trail straight through the dressing rooms, museum, pitch side, etc.
