Chelsea FC Foundation presenting Digital Blue at 12th EFDN Conference

We are very happy to announce Sam Gaskin-Kemp and Matt Mead from the Chelsea FC Foundation as speakers at the 12th EFDN ‘#Morethanfootball’ Conference.  Together, they will present their STEM programme called ‘Digital Blue’.

The Education Department at the Chelsea FC Foundation has spent the last two and a half years building and delivering STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) programmes within the local community, highlighting the skills needed for tomorrow. The programme engages local schools and educators, to teach critical STEM-related skills for the 21st century. The presentation will showcase how young children can be engaged in STEM-related skills with a specific focus on coding through football and the recent ‘Digital Blue’ collaboration with the Feyenoord Foundation.

In short, the presentation will focus on:

  • Highlighting how young minds must be equipped with critical STEM-related skills for the 21st century.
  • Showcasing how Chelsea FC combines football and STEM education.
  • Connecting STEM, learning and fun, so to encourage future education choices and expose young people to a variety of exciting STEM careers.
