Introducing the Speakers on behalf of EFDN!

In already a week we will kick off the 20th EFDN Conference (13-15 November) in Athens, Greece. The topic of this EFDN Conference will be “Making Football Matter”, which will take place at the OPAP Arena, the stadium of EFDN Member AEK AthensThe programme is already unveiled and we are happy to introduce you to the EFDN speakers:

Hubert Rovers – CEO & Founder of EFDN

Hubert, one of the co-founders of EFDN, plays a pivotal role as an international consultant in the realms of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) and FSR (Football for Social Responsibility). Within his capacity at EFDN and armed with his profound expertise, he provides invaluable support to clubs and various football organizations in shaping and advancing their ESG/CSR policies, monitoring and evaluation protocols, community projects, and fundraising endeavours.

Vicky Conde Sancho – Project Manager at EFDN 

Vicky will be presenting during the break-outsession about Welcome through Football. Besides this project she is also coordinating other social inclusion projects at EFDN mainly around intellectual and physical disability, women discrimination in football, and social cohesion for children. She is also a former football player and coach herself. Before her career at EFDN, she did a Master in Sports Ethics and Integrity and a Master in Education. 

Audry Matadi – Project Manager at EFDN

Audry will give a presentation on the main stage about the “All-in&win” project. Audry is a Project Manager at EFDN that coordinates European, Erasmus plus funded projects regarding social inclusion. This can go from LGBT+ participation in sports to racism, gender equality and much more. As part of Erasmus plus funded projects, he also coordinates projects that are funded by the Government about social participation of children in society.  

Martyn Rijkhoff – Senior Project Manager at EFDN

Martyn will present the break-outsession about the Walking Football League. Martyn Rijkhoff is International Project Manager, Senior Team Leader and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer at EFDN with focus on Welcome through Football and Walking Football development. 

Matheus Cavalcanti – Project Manager at EFDN

Matheus will present the following two break-outsessions: NBS EduWorld (together with Philipp) and Climate Captains (together with Seán McCabe). Matheus recently joined EFDN as the project manager of environmental sustainability projects (NBS EduWorld, Football for Climate Justice, GreenFoot, Community Climate Captains). He has previous experience as business consultant and an engineering background. Recently, Matheus finished his Master in Sports Management at Johan Cruyff Institute, in the Netherlands. 

Philipp Reissner – Project Manager at EFDN

Philipp will present the break-outsessions: NBS EduWorld (together with Matheus). Philipp has a Sport and Recreation Management Bachelor as well as a Master in Business and Administration (focus on International Management). He is involved in multiple projects at EFDN, including Football Works, SportEYE, Sport Transparency Index, and NBS EduWORLD. In NBS EduWORLD specifically, Philipp tries to introduce nature-based solutions to education. At EFDN, we focus on STEM clubs in particular due to our network and impact in this area.  

Ot te Dorsthorst – Communication & Project Officer at EFDN

Ot & Stijn will present the break-outsession about the More than Football Action Weeks. Ot te Dorsthorst joined EFDN initially as an intern while studying Sport & Communication at SPECO in Tilburg and works now as Communication & Project Officer at EFDN.  

Stijn Slaats – Communication Manager at EFDN

After his Master in French language and culture in business and society, Stijn Slaats started working for Citroën-PSA before becoming Press officer at Ligue 1 side FC Sochaux-Montbéliard. He also has a background as freelance journalist for PSV Eindhoven among others. Stijn joined EFDN as Communication Manager in June 2021.
