Klaas Kuperus – Speaker at the 20th EFDN Conference

Klaas Kuperus, Founder of Eduwinkel, is a confirmed speaker at our 20th EFDN ‘Making Football Matter’ Conference in Athens from the 13th until the 15th of November 2023.

Klaas Kuperus is the founder of Eduwinkel in the Netherlands, supplier of Sphero Sports materials and market leader in STEAM-education. In 2012, he started the ‘Rekenwinkel’ (Arithmetic Shop). Initially as a supplier of calculators. In recent years, they focused more on providing educational technology for schools. That started with robots and soon drones, virtual reality glasses, 3D printers and much more items were added.

Through STEAM-education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) pupils are educated in four different areas using an interdisciplinary approach. The aim of STEAM-activities is to make children digitally proficient and prepare them for their future through play.

During his presentation, Klaas will emphasize and show that working with robots is not difficult but, above all, very interesting. He will tell you more about how the educational material can be linked to football elements, why it could be interesting for clubs to invest in and how you can use the impact of football to teach children digital skills. His creativity and experience in sales, marketing, management, purchasing and logistics are going to lead to an interesting break-out session in which he will share his ideas and experiences about Eduwinkel’s work and building educational robots.
