Nicky Reid, Chief Executive of the SPFL Trust presents on the relationship between SPFL Trust and member clubs at the 13th EFDN Conference in Barcelona in November.

The SPFL Trust give an insight into their structure and provide an overview of their work. The Trust will explore the relationship between club trusts and the SPFL Trust in areas of both project delivery, capacity building and lobbying and will explore how to ensure that league trust and club trusts can work together in a complementary way across activity and funding.

Nicky Reid – SPFL Trust

Nicky Reid is the chief executive of the Scottish Professional Football League Trust which was set up in 2009 as an independent regulated charity associated with the Scottish Professional Football League. It works with Scotland’s 42 professional football clubs and external agencies aiming to use football to engage with communities and improve lives. Nicky joined the Trust in November 2013 having spent seven years at Falkirk Football Club and Falkirk Football Community Foundation and became the first woman appointed to a top job at the national stadium, Hampden Park, when she became chief executive in October 2017. The charity has enjoyed unparalleled success during Nicky’s leadership, including the launch of its 2016-2021 strategic plan with a focus on inspiring and supporting clubs, helping them build capacity to work with people in need, engage funders on national projects, and a renewed focus on establishing relationships at a national level.
